Following is a copy of a letter sent by Ian to all festival participants. Optional Open Matches: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday Due to valid requests that the lakes are rotated by the draw, the same as the festival matches, it will be necessary to collect all pools for the three matches on Sunday morning prior to the draw. i.e. 3x£20 = £60 In order to use these open matches as a practice day for the festival, I will organise the draw so that you will be on the same lake the next day i.e. draw Tench lake on the Sunday Open, you will draw from the Tench Lake bag on Monday, 1st festival day. Working clockwise around the three lakes means you will draw from the Match Lake bag on the Tuesday Open and again for the Wednesday for the second festival day. Thursday and Friday will see you on the Carp Lake both days. By pooling up for all of the three opens on the Sunday, it will allow me to allocate the pegs equally on Tuesday and Wednesday. Non festival competitors can also be catered for if they wish to participate in the opens by booking in advance. Bait distribution: Sunday at 8 o'clock til 9 o'clock close Draw for Sunday Open: 9 o'clock, fish 11 o'clock til 5 o'clock Bait distribution: Monday and Wednesday: 8 o'clock til 9.30 Draw: Monday and the rest of the week: 9.30am, fish 11am til 5pm. |
