13th May - Carp Lake - 2007/05/13 10:30 Those of us in the know had an inkling that he would bounce back with a vengeance and today was the day he disproved all the doubting Thomas's who said he was over the hill. Doris is back, armed with a state of the art seat box bought for him for his birthday by his family. It was well and truly christened though with rain like stair rods for most of the day making fishing uncomfortable. Fishing peg 12, he soon had the carp eating out of his hand and caught steadily to weigh in 132lb 10oz Mark Goodall from Milford Haven was only 16lb behind from the opposite end of the lake on peg 29 with a weight of 116lb 10oz, again caught in the margins. Llew Spink drew peg 21 and chose to fish the pellet waggler to the island, a favourite method from this peg and put together a respectable weight of 75lb 12oz.
