Wednesday 16th May - Evening Match |
Wednesday 16th May - Evening Match - 2007/05/18 12:45
The 3 hour match record was smashed out of sight this Wednesday evening as the Milford maestro Mark Goodall had the carp crawling up his line on peg 29 of the Carp Lake. Feeding three pints of casters in two foot of water in the margins he used worm as hookbait and caught quality fish throughout the match to weigh in a phenominal 122lb 12oz.
The evening matches are fished from 6-9, an hour longer than the fishery normally opens, maybe it's this extra hour that does the trick. Whatever the reason it certainly resulted in some good weights for a 3 hour match with Luke Sorokin on peg 22 weighing in 62lb 14oz, more than enough to win any other evening match and Pete Edwards on peg 26 catching a creditable 47lb 6oz. Evening matches are fished every Wednesday and alternate between lakes, phone Ian for details of which lake is being fished, draw is at 5pm, fish 6-9pm
