Results have been scarce of late due to my enforced absence from the fishery but the latest news has just been handed to me here at the news desk. Yes, it's official, Doris is taking the place apart at the moment with three consecutive wins in the Sunday Opens, namely with a 87lb 14oz bag on 13th may followed by a 91lb 12oz bag on 20th May and to make it a hat trick he landed a catch of 71lb 14oz to win the open on 27th May. Is his recent spell of good luck due to the fact that he has just purchased a new Rive seat box or the fact that I have been absent from the open scene for a few weeks, we'll never know but well done Doris.
Open matches are fished every Sunday with the draw taking place at 9am, fish approx 10am til 4pm, all are welcome. Total cost including pools is £20.
