3rd June - Carp Lake - 2007/06/08 07:59 Very difficult fishing this week with hundreds of carp visible chasing each other prior to spawning. Mark Goodall was the first to catch feeding casters little but often, fishing red maggot on the hook in 12" of water and went on to win the match, top three were: 1st Mark Goodall 71lb 12oz 2nd Nigel Morris 68lb 14oz 3rd Keith Tuson 54lb 6oz NB Tench and Crucian lake fishing very well with pleasure weights of 50-60lb in the margins or up in the water. Match Lake fishing best with pleasure catches in excess of 100lb consisting of Carp, Crucians and Bream. For anglers wishing to target silver fish 30-40lb of roach is commonplace on Maggot/Casters.
