At least it didn't rain, it's not very often lately that we come through a match in a dry condition, the Gods were kind to us for once.
After Ian's realxing of the rule on method feeders and Doris's excellent weight of last week it seemed that everyone and his dog was determined to cash in on the method this week. Fortunatley it seems that no one method is going to dominate and fish were caught on other methods too.

The look on Jim Hutton's face says it all

With almost £300 in the golden peg pot, the draw is all important and Neil Morgan drew the lucky peg 4, not a particular in-form peg at the moment but Neil is well capable of turning a mediocre peg into a winning one but not on this occasion.

Top honours this week went to Mark Goodall on peg 19 who after a slow start came good in the last 2-3 hours to amass a total of 86lb. Most were caught on the method feeder fished no more than 14 metres out.

Mark Goodall with his winning catch

Chasing him all the way to the tape was the "back in form" Doris on peg 26 who caught regularly throughout the match to weigh in 61lb 8oz. With Luke Sorokin fishing in Cornwall one of the runner up spots was lying vacant, this was filled by Neil Daniels on peg 6 with a weight of 52lb 8oz.

A proud Dominic Morris with his dad's second placed catch

Next weeks match is on the Match Lake, draw at 9am, £20 all in.

Top results were:

1st Mark Goodall 86lb 0oz peg 19
2nd Nigel Morris 61lb 8oz peg 26
3rd Neil Daniels 52lb 8oz peg 6
4th Richard Baldwin 47lb 7oz peg 21
5th Nobby 37lb 8oz peg 15
6th Neil Morgan 34lb 6oz peg 4
