Welsh Irish International - 2007/08/04 12:28 Our thanks to Eric for this report on the inaugral Welsh Irish match held at Holgan Farm. Saturday the 21st and Sunday 22nd July saw the match between Waterford A.C. and Holgan Club take place for what is hoped to be an annual event set bi-annualy between the two clubs on their respective own waters. Two teams of eight fished the match lake on the Saturday and the tench lake on the Sunday with Holgan club taking the honours overall.. Everyone agreed that it had been an excellent two day event enjoyed by all. Next year will see the Holgan club on the Waterford waters probably in May or June. Tour organiser - for his sins - will be Eric and members interested are advised to book their place early. It is also hoped to take part in the Crystal Festival while over the - lots of cash involved - if enough members are interested." Home Team Away Team
