Match Lake Open-13th February 2008

Match Lake Open-13th February 2008 - 2008/02/14 14:21

12 anglers took part on what was a glorious day pitting their wits on the Match Lake.

Ian Heaps had his drawing arm on and selected peg 25 and was surprised to find that he only had around 3 pounds of fish in his net after 3 hours. During this time he was getting well and truly slaughtered by Geraint on peg 23. But as we know only too well never underestimate the underdog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the meantime Lewis Spink on peg 27 was steadily catching on a waggler towards the island and ended up with a good bag of mixed carp. Lets see if you can do the same in Spain Lewis!!!!!

A whimper was heard from peg 19 after about 2 hours. It was Dark Horse complaining that there were no fish in the lake. He persisted and eventually turned his day round to register a catch in the forties.

1st Ian Heaps..........49lb 15oz....Peg 25
2nd Keith Moore......47lb 4oz.......Peg 19
3rd Lewis Spink......41lb 8oz.......Peg 27
