20th December-Carp Lake
Twas on a Wednesday in the middle of December when nine anglers took part in a pre-christmas match on a fogbound Carp Lake at Holgan Farm. The one godsend was that Eric could not be seen from across the lake because of the fog, a godsend indeed, for to lay eyes on such a sight is too frightening for words.

The occasional ringing of a mobile phone could be heard and soft voices like Rob Jones saying 'luv you' when ending a conversation with Luke (allegedly).

Mysteriously, Colin Bates started the match and then disappeared taking the form of Ian Heaps. A weird event indeed. We don't know who got the better of the transformation but Colin hasn't been seen since. WEIRD, EERIE, UNEXPLAINABLE. Poor Colin!!!

Anyway a good match ensued, although at times it was difficult to see the float. Most anglers returned respectable weights.

1st-Keith Tuson 39lb 0oz Peg26
2nd-Rob Jones 36lb 8oz Peg 29
3rd-Steve Harrison 31lb 0oz Peg 1
4th-Lou Spink 27lb 0oz Peg 21
5th-Colin Bates/Ian Heaps 24lb 14oz Peg 22
6th-Mark Goodall 24lb 13oz 8dr Peg 12

Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to all from the author of this post.
