3rd January 2007-Carp Lake
The New Year seems to have started as well as the Old Year went out with another bumper catch. The first five places catching over 360lb of fish between them.

The old man got tucked into peg 3 only to lose his new pole in the lake. Everybody thought he was trying to spear the fish but Ian confirmed afterwards that he would have been disqualified if he'd have hit one. It was a good job Darkhorse was there to retrieve the weapon from the depths of the lake.

Andrew Smith was his usual exhuberant self. You won't see his name in the returns but he did witness several people catching fish on his many journeys around the lake. DNW went against his name!!!!

Nine competitors took part and although the weather was inclement to say the least, a good haul was returned.

1st Rob Jones 89lb 10oz Peg 7
2nd Luke Sorokin(Boyo Pellet Wagglers) 87lb 8oz Peg 12
3rd Nigel Morris 87lb 6oz Peg 24
4th Keith Tuson 59lb 12oz Peg 21
5th Mark Goodall 42lb 4oz Peg 9
6th Keith Moore 21lb 12oz Peg 4

Next Wednesday we are due to fish the Tench Lake. Draw around 09.00
