Wed 7th Feb - Carp Lake
On a freezing cold but sunny morning a motely crew of five decided to brave the elements and have a go. The tench lake was half frozen over as was the match lake but besides a little margin ice, the carp lake was clear. The message from the caravan was "Its going to be hard today lads?!" but in fact, it turned out quite good. Most fish were caught on the waggler at distance with the poles coming into their own in the last hour or so of the match.
The reults are:

1st, Mike williams on peg 20. 50lb plus.
Joint second with 34lb 4oz. Colin the carpet and kieth [Dark Horse} pegs 25 @ 23 respectively.
3rd. Mark Goodall. Peg 21 . 34lb 3ozs! - how close can you get?!!
Last but not least, yours truly on peg 24. with 27lb 10oz[6ozs more than last time so I must be improving?!!
The weather being what it was, it must be said that the fishing was good and - as for me - there is always next week!!
