Carp Lake 18/2/07: Club Match No 4 - 2007/02/18 12:52
A lovely sunny morning saw sixteen club anglers eagerly scurrying to thier pegs for what appeared to promise a good days fishing but as it turned out, the bulk of the fish that were caught were once again
to be found from peg 13 to peg twentyfive.
Best baits - as usual - were pellet and corn with most fish caught on the deck however,Llew, Nial and Jack had some success up in the water on the pellet waggler with all fish hooked being on the large size
Miday brought cloud and a cold wind which seemed to unsettle the fish and catch rates dropped accordingly. All things considered, the days fishing was good and it was a pleasure to see one of our newest - and youngest - club members landing two very nice carp. Congratulations to him. The fancied No 30 /No 1 pegs failed to produce, the best weight being 15lbs by young Michael
Next match is on the Tench Lake - God help us!!!

Results as follows:

1st Eric Rimmer 42lb 1oz - Long Pole (8mtr)
2nd Jim Hutton 29lb 8oz
3rd Lou Spink 28lb 6oz
4th Keith Moore 24lb 8oz
5th Jack Jackson 23lb 10oz
6th Mark Close 23lb 2oz
