Sunday 25th February 2007-Carp Lake
Sunday 25th February 2007-Carp Lake - 2007/02/25 11:27
On a showery and somewhat coldish at times day 9 anglers braved the elements.

Not satisfied with winning on Wednesday, Mikey Williams took the field apart on the unfancied peg 15. Fishing 6mm pellet at no more than 6mtrs out he amassed 90lb to take the honours.

Runner up was yours truly tempting a mixed bag at 9mtrs on a mixture of pellet and corn.

3rd place went to Neil Daniels, he swung in 42lb. Starting off on his favourite pellet waggler then after a good first cast abandoning the same to catch on the elastic.

It would seem that Doris had a mare of a day losing money right left and centre, but hey he can afford it.

1st Michael Williams 90lb 8oz Peg 15
2nd Keith Tuson 58lb 12oz Peg 12
3rd Neil Daniels 42lb 14oz Peg 3
4th Peter Edwards 42lb Peg 22
5th Sean Pollock 36lb 14oz Peg 21
6th Andrew Crocker 34lb 12oz Peg 7

Luke Sorokin was heard shouting at Andrew Crocker that all he needed was a carp to beat him. In the last minute he hooked one and although he was crowing about the side bet he had with Andrew he came up 10oz short. Keep quiet in future Luke until the weigh in.

All in all some good weights were taken and over 350lb of fish were caught. Hope to see you all next week but you never know at my age!!!!!!!!
