2007 Autumn Festival Overall Results
51 anglers travelled from all parts of the UK this year to fight toe to toe to decide who takes home the prestigious Autumn Festival Trophy. It is interesting to note that most of the faces are regulars who have been fishing both the autumn & spring festivals for many years which is proof of the popularity of this event. Entries to both events are always over subscribed so you are advised to book early for next April’s Spring Festival.

Spring Festival winner Steve Barraclough unfortunately couldn’t make the week due to his partner Emma giving birth to a baby. Our best wishes to them both. Fortunately last years Autumn Festival winner Craig Thompson from Wakefield did make the trip and set the festival off to a cracking start by winning his first match on the Match Lake with a weight of 48lb 2oz from peg 18. Could this mean more of the same with the trophy once again heading north? Not if local boy Mark Goodall from Milford Haven had a say in the matter. He drew peg 7 on the Tench/Crucian Lake and fishing to the lillies he caught crucians and tench for a similar weight of 46lb 8oz, a weight that would not be beaten on that lake for the remainder of the festival week. Due to the pressure on the lakes during festival week weights on the Tench/Crucian lake tend to diminish through the week and this year was no exception.
